I think what's interesting about the Mike Tyson's Punch Out speedrun history is that the run is so chaotic that it never feels like people are really running out of time to save

like with shit like Contra people are pushing up against the laws of physics by 2005

but MTPO's world records always have multiple red splits

so it never feels like there's a hard wall

every WR is preceded by multiple faster runs that were murdered by Tyson

zallard1 is so powerful that even zallard1 seems skeptical of it

zallard1's power was so great that it tried to escape their earthly shell

(I am very very glad they recovered from that)
