I thought maybe fans on tumblr were exaggerating but... they're really not

'we think the right ending for him is if he blows himself up' and 'his character arc is that he starts out annoying and then sacrifices himself' I....???

like sure it's a narratively powerful ending, but... the guy asks for three items and you can feed him junk lmao. like what the fuck

he's not constantly asking for anything - except for validation maybe

and someone was gonna have to be the exposition character for people not familiar with D&D/FR so if they think he's annoying because of that, it doesn't rub me the right way either
