Why are Protestant and Catholic Bibles different?

Kaso baka matawa ako sa kalupitan ng Tagalog modern version eh. Yung pic nga lang ng isang parte natatawa na ako.

Check mo inside whether English or Tagalog version if may Nihil Obstat iyon ang certification that it is Catholic

PBS is Christian, but not Catholic. Not sure if you'd get to buy a Catholic bible from them. Maybe try St.Paul's instead.

KJV was famously commissioned by a protestant king Church of England. It's also rather infamous in scholarly circles for being rather loose and inaccurate with translating the original text. IIRC cuz they went Latin to English instead of Hebrew/Greek to English? Something like that.
