Imagine being so misogynist that you'd go out of your way to scour the internet for the worst Utena takes you can find just so you can rip them off. Now that takes effort.

Oh man I find this video genuinely hard to watch, nevermind the misogyny but he's extremely gross and insensitive toward family abuse victims by misreading Anthy the way he does, he's either never watched the show or is so grossly and utterly incapable of basic empathy that he cannot recognize the extremely basic patterns of abuse from ten miles away.

And yes, you could technically argue that an average person wouldn't recognize those patterns of abuse easily and that's why the show took 40 episodes to dismantle them, but Somerton is supposed to be an essayist with tendency to deep read into everything he watches and the fact that he can't notice something so basic immediately discredits him.
