my father being shocked about how much money I have left over after the 1st of the month is the most boomer and infuriating thing

he's getting me two tires as a Christmas present and he's very insistent on getting us presents even though we told him not to. this year, I'm not complaining because I need tires

we agreed we're going to buy two tires each for my car. he asked me like a couple weeks ago how much money I had and I told him and now he's shocked that i don't have much left over after all of my bills....

mind you, he's got to at least be making ffs... 80k-100k a year...

he has no clue how expensive it is out here omg

and my mother does the majority of the bills

THIS is normal to me, it's always been this way. if anything having money left over after bills is a Very Big Accomplishment to me

and yeah, I have savings but payday is next Wednesday so I'm not even worried
