I’m looking at fingerless gloves for in the house. Now I can’t decide between the fingerless kind or the ones that are a sleeve with just the thumbhole. Who’s wearing these? Pros and cons please?

Plus I can’t decide between knitted or leather. I guess knitted is better for indoor use though, right?

Do you have carpal tunnel issues? If so, you could get a pair of compression ones

I just ordered compression gloves that have open finger tips. They should be here in a few days.

The first ones were supposed to be these red, white, blue ones.

I wear them often. Wool, fingerless only. The ones that are like a sleeve do not work for me at all

I've absolutely LOVED my compression ones. I wear them when I'm working and it's nice because we keep the house cooler because ugh heating cost is crazy.

I have some knit sleeves and also thin UV sleeves (like pantyhose) that I wear sometimes. I used to use them to hide self-harm scars on my left arm but now I just wear them out of habit sometimes. I like the UV ones, very silky feeling, but not so warm.

I like it best when I have a hoodie with thumbholes in the sleeves

I use the sleeve with the hole ones and as they get looser over time they end up sliding up my wrist and are only held there because of my thumb. If your fingers get cold go for fingerless gloves

I got some fleece ones but I almost never use them, I don't get cold hands, I do get cold fingertips. I would need the opposite.

the sleeves with thumbholes never really do it for me, because like Chandni says they keep exposing my hands. I prefer fleece ones.

Dede39 bought me a pair of compression gloves for driving, fingertips open, and I wear them whenever it's cold, inside or outside. They're great for my arthritis

apple : oh yeah, crazy heating costs. That’s why I’m now sitting on my couch wearing four layers of clothes plus under a blanket! LOL I try to wait until a little while before I go to bed to put the heat on. Then the bedroom gets warm before sleeping. It’s freezing up there right now.

potato boyo : they're kind of like thin spandex or thick pantyhose. It'd keep the sun off. I've used them for that and they're not too hot. If you have muscles (I do not) they might be tight on the bicep though. I do a hot water bottle in the bed in the winter when it's so cold, warm up those toes

I could do with some. I have fingerless ones for outdoors but they are too thick and bulky to wear when I am writing. i need a thinner pair just to keep my joints warm and to avoide my artritic pain.

thaumata: I am super sensitive to sunlight these days so I tend to wear my hoodies year round, which is sub optimal in the middle of July. I really dislike sunscreen, so these might be very helpful for me in the summer.

I have the thin cheap knit ones that are fingerless and they're okay. I have a set of crocheted and lined ones that has no fingers and a thumb hole and they're not as warm on my fingers but the thicker yarn makes them clunkier for typing. I use them at work sometimes.

Yeah I want them for while sitting on the couch so maybe get one of each and I can take the gloves off when I go to the kitchen yet keep the sleeve on. Now which to get!? LOL
