I started using the external seven-row keyboard Tex Shinobi for a long time when I was using the X1 Carbon Gen 5, because according to my usage habits, the Gen 5 keyboard is really not suitable for long-term use. Now the keyboard of X1 Carbon Gen 10 is a backup device for me to use for short periods of time when moving or going out.
X1 Carbon Gen 5 I have used the SK-8855 in the past few years, but Lenovo has not been willing to solve the conflict between the settings of the SK-8855 and the built-in keyboard TrackPoint. So in the end, I participated in the development planning of Tex Shinobi, which required that the design of TrackPoint should not be the same as the design of ThinkPad.
Therefore, the design of Tex Shinobi's TrackPoint was ultimately a full hardware adjustment, and there was no need to install a driver in the operating system.
X1 Carbon Gen 5 前面幾年我還有用過 SK-8855，不過聯想沒有意願解決 SK-8855 跟內建鍵盤 TrackPoint 的設定衝突問題。所以最終我參與 Tex Shinobi 的開發規劃，要求 TrackPoint 的設計不能跟 ThinkPad 的設計一樣，所以 Tex Shinobi 的 TrackPoint 設計最後是全硬體調整，不需要在作業系統裡面安裝驅動程式。
