I couldn’t get a good handle on his sense of humor, which I think is usually my best skill. I play a lot of humorous characters, I play the funny man in the manzai comedy act

but uhh couldn’t pin it down and balance it with the rest of his intense personality

I apped him in two games and lost confidence ao badly both times lol

but one day I’d love to ;-; he is my fav anime/manga character, and it would be nice to enjoy him thru rp

I think for me it’s usually the projection I have of others critiquing my character’s choices if I app a well known or popular character, esp a main char

lol so I usually stick to comedic relief or obscure chars

Ryan Goldsmith was hard too but I apped him when fandom didn’t know as much about him as they do now, so I might be confident if I ever played him again

beforehand we knew like.... he had an iguana and he likes to do people’s taxes and knew he was hot shit and acted like it lol

those little tidbits were so fun because he comes across as such a douche otherwise

Taibani S2 did a good job adding more depth to him

yes, I love the way he just dramatically pushes kotestu and barnaby back together on live television, because he can read the writing on the wall and he wants everyone to know he's a stand-up guy lol
