: any thoughts on how Maggie can convince him to even have the conversation, because she's not really interested in being another person who ignores his wishes
ping me whenever you get the Zerxus thing started (and nudge me if I somehow miss the ping, because /gestures at sometimes checking things on my phone and notifs going weird on me)
(there's this hilarious bit before the campaign where the players were answering questions on instagram, and one was "who's the team dad" and he was just like
Maggie is such a Team Mom. headquarters and several employees' apartments had an outbreak and then were bombed, and those employees literally just moved in with Maggie for months
because where else would you go? you turn up at Maggie's and she's cooked you an emu (because beef is infected in their world) meatloaf and she and her pack of ridiculous dogs all come out the front door to meet you.
She took us in when we had nowhere else to go; she took care of us when we would have been frankly fucked without her. She's been our rock. If Mahir is the soul of this news team - and I'm not an idiot, I know that when [spoiler], the mantle went to him, and that's cool, because I never wanted it in the first place - then Maggie is the heart.
everyday expenses her writing does not cover: 1. armed guards (who are paid for by her father even though Maggie is their boss; it was his condition on Mags living alone in the woods) 2. bills for her huge pack of rescue dogs with health problems
I am still not home, and have now been out of the house for 12 hours, please send help. which is to say I don't know if I will have any RP brain tonight
current status is so tired I forgot to put money in the parking meter, but fortunately the parking gods smiled on me and I did not get a ticket while I was out of the car
I didn't mean to suggest you needed to. I just know Maggie's letting them go for a while, and I didn't want to assume. I'm happy to pause at any point to let her interject when your brain is up for it
and I am now stressed because I couldn't drive home from work without missing points Maggie would have interjected, I am too tired to feelings properly

I can take it back to the initial questioning of 'do you have the knife and let you reply to that before Sweeney says he does. Is that a good spot?
but definitely the last tag in response to the offer she would've cut off, and she'll just be more pissed off now than she would have if she hadn't held her tongue
But this way she has the chance. There's no reason she should have to tolerate it icly because you have ooc stuff going on and I didn't get the plurk. No worries, really
I didn't get these responses to you before you'd already deleted things and I kind of want to keel over and cry. can we just. not do anything until we've made a decision as opposed to "I didn't look at plurk for 1 minute and half the thread was deleted"
to be clear, you guys are not the problem, everything in my stupid body and brain tonight is the problem, and this just happened to hit at exactly the wrong time
anyway, the scale of Maggie fury is: 1. annoyed that he even brought up the knife during the apology 2. let alone asked for the knife, which makes his apology ring fairly hollow and pisses her off 3. rage that after both of those things, the offer in trade was just insultingly bad
I'm up for whatever and had half a rage tag written before I saw Sweeney's reply and then the deletions, but I can roll with any point you'd prefer (once I'm not on the verge of a meltdown due to life, whoops, should've seen that coming.)
pretty useless for tags tonight, but thank you both for being lovely, I appreciate you.
I'm fine with rage Maggie if you guys are, just know that she will completely lose her temper by the time they get to "another knife." She can manage to hold her tongue till then, but she's watching it go sideways and that's the last straw
At least even while furious, Maggie is still very clear about the fact that her love is unconditional even if her patience and her good temper aren't. He's still her brother.
Sweeney:
1. armed guards (who are paid for by her father even though Maggie is their boss; it was his condition on Mags living alone in the woods)
2. bills for her huge pack of rescue dogs with health problems
Here's the old
1. annoyed that he even brought up the knife during the apology
2. let alone asked for the knife, which makes his apology ring fairly hollow and pisses her off
3. rage that after both of those things, the offer in trade was just insultingly bad
"Another knife?" Something equally useful but that hasn't pierced the skulls of some of his loved ones.
pretty useless for tags tonight, but thank you both for being lovely, I appreciate you.
