Stories with understated storytelling, like Slay the Spire, y/n

Basically, stuff where you pick up little bits of info about things and the characters, but it's not a major focus.

I dunno, there's just something particular about the overall mood of Slay the Spire that other games like it doesn't have the same of.

Not that those other games aren't good!

Like, the Ironclad's cards tell you enough about him to make you go "Are you okay, Ironclad?"

I love Astrea, for example, but it has more overt storytelling and the mood is different.
