My wife and I have been dealing with an HVAC issue for seven months. We’ve gone the entire summer in Phoenix with no AC upstairs and my mother who is not very mobile has been getting sicker and sicker as we try to find her relief and actual help from our home warranty company

I’m hoping this call out post gets some traction because I’m done. I’d consider legal action except I don’t have the money to deal with a warranty company’s legal team! I sure love privatized insurance and warranties!

coming in to say I am pretty sure this is the company that gave my mother the run around on our hvac years ago and never paid for shit. I think my mother gave up and paid out of pocket.

I don't really have followers on twitter, but boosted anyway, because this has been a goddamn mess

we've had a number of issues with them because of bullshit loopholes. We bought the house and moved here in 2021 and a year later our water heater went. When we approached First American, they sent a guy out, said they'd cover the heater, but because laws and regulations had changed, we had to pay for all updates to the various fixtures.

You'd think replacing a water heater would also mean replacing the fixtures but fuck me for being an optimist I guess

So it looks like First American responded to us on Twitter and after two better business bureau complaints to both First American and the HVAC contractor they’re finally getting their shit in gear

Our claim went from being “approved” which it’s been approved for two weeks to finally having the parts “ordered.” Meaning they lied to us when they said it was ordered two weeks ago

The fact that it’s taken this much to get them to act when we keep paying them every month is literally criminal and I wish I had a way to just tear the whole system down
