Fight Club is a satire that a good portion of its fanbase does not realize is satire. But it is a very good satire

fight club is way up there in the Top Misinterpreted By Masculine Cis Men Of All Time film category. it's honestly worth a watch, there's multiple scenes of fighting your imaginary best friend & it's frankly god tier physical humor

there was a whole tumblr essay about it that I can't be bothered to find but I think Fight Club's writer being gay had some relevance to the book's perspective too. But yeah straight dudes keep trying to claim it as supporting their toxic masculinity views when it's actually breaking them down.
