ooooh
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
first the Necromicon, an impulse splurge
on hiatus
i need the necronomicon...
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
notes: this is a WEIRD ASS DECK. Slightly more directly referential than the Dark Grimoire but not as interested in just doing random monsters as the Cthulhu deck (which I can't take pictures of it is too shiny)
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
but it also uses a modified set of major arcana (with a DEFINITE dark slant) and modified suits (books, beakers, torches, pentacles)
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
points for good packaging (thank you for not having a flip top box, my villain origin is bad tarot packaging) that isn't too big or too small and a good sized book with full illustrations though not much text.
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
huge fan of these, though. great included spreads
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
this one's going to take some getting to know
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
notes: it's... fine. the art style is lovely but not terribly evocative and it suffers from 'can't figure out if I'm MCU or not'. There's also repeats of character motifs or stuff and weird exclusions on the flip side where like. I'm baffled at some of the choices. There's just a lot of people missing so the repeats and very MCUy picks feel weird.
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
like, uh. I love T'challa. But if I'm thinking Marvel and I'm thinking Judgment, I'm thinking Ghost Rider.
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
Loki as the devil is fine but it's also... you have actual devils in your universe?
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
and many of the choices are like 'here's the thing.' like ANY of the infinity stones are the most useless choice for a card.
FʀɪᴇɴᴅIɴYᴇʟʟᴏᴡ
spreads weren't bad but I wasn't as blown away
Shards-giving
I do love Remy as the Wheel of Fortune.
