Tryse hitting that point of being too scared to admit what she's done, wanting to be praised for what she's done, and also not wanting to brag about what she's done.

She desperately wants to be sick. Or get a hug until she stops vibrating. One or the other sounds good.

But she also doesn't want to look weak.

If she looks weak to people outside Robin's Egg, they'll think Egg is weak. If she looks weak to Robin's Egg... well, they love her because she's steadfast and reliable and useful. And she likes being seen that way, even if she thinks knows it's wrong. So no looking as scared and worn out as she feels.

She's just terrified that the cult already knows and is gearing up to punish either her or everyone around her.

They probably don't, but Tryse thinks they know more, are more powerful, and are more competent, than they really are.

Tryse is just always angry and always afraid and the cult hits her terror buttons hard.

The biggest defining moment of her life was being locked in a hut and having to hide while her owner/teacher/mother figure was tortured to death outside, and after the scavenger hunt and the hostage game, she feels like she's being punched in that trauma over and over by the cult, so she's constantly operating more out of fear than anything else.

Despite all of her best efforts to be otherwise.

Basically every interaction she has and every decision she makes is tinged with that fear of and anger at a world where these things happen.

And the cultists specialize in making it happen.

So she expects big time retaliation and will be baffled if it doesn't come, either personally or in the next game.
