He tried to do a fan remake of clock tower in hand drawn 2D before (until it ended up becoming its own separate thing) so this sounds about right for him

That said the thing the old attempt at this turned into was Remothered which is. Messy and has a transphobic twist so like. Not 100% sold but good on him for returning to the 2D hand drawn idea
