Well haven't heard back from the credit union yet, and if I don't hear back today I'm going to assume I'm not getting a callback interview

but also:

is that four years ten months? Why not just say that? Is it four years + six weeks??

then there's this one which absoLUTELY not

because that means high volume call center

okay I actually gotta get back on the active searching horse, we're midway through the day and haven't heard back, I have to accept that I didn't get this one

(brain don't wanna let go, tho)

Wednesday, the dude said it would be 48 hours for the HR manager to make a decision and he'd get back to me then, which is why I'm giving them through today before I fully determine I didn't get it

Okay so since you had an interview you are well within scope to email and ask for an update, and you can absolutely do that today

and doing something on your end may help the brain goblins settle a bit

see, I was always told to send a thank you email (which I did) and then NOTHING ELSE because that's being aggressive and will get you bumped to the bottom of the list or blacklisted

Unless they've said you should, obvs, which I have had happen a couple times

(well I mean was told to send thank you card but that's been decades and has been changed to 'email')

they will NOT be mad at a short email saying “hi, i really appreciated our conversation last week. out of curiosity, when can i hear back about a decision? (name) estimated 48 hours but i know timelines can change.”

well I'd be emailing (name) since that's the only contact I've got

Yeah send a follow-up email I was always told its okay to follow up

welp, no use anyway, just got the 'you were not selected to move forward' email.
