Okay isekai pitch
Gabiluzbad
Starts out pretty bog standard
Gabiluzbad
Heroic boy accidentally awakens in the world of his FAVORITE MMO VIDEO GAME
Gabiluzbad
Has adventures
Gabiluzbad
But starts to realize he’s not in a video game it’s an actual world
Gabiluzbad
Despite him treating it as a game world at first
Gabiluzbad
Eventually he discovers that the reason this world looks like his favorite video game is that the head of some big organization in game land is ALSO from our world
Gabiluzbad
In this land he’s a powerful wizard or leader of the church or whatever
Gabiluzbad
In our world he is the CEO of a major corporation
Gabiluzbad
That makes video games
Gabiluzbad
He’s bouncing back and forth and made a game based on the other world
Gabiluzbad
I dunno I just think it could be a fun swerve
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
is the hero also capable of bouncing back and forth
Echo
That does seem like a neat twist.
Vehrec
maybe the hero can figure it out later
Gabiluzbad
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ : no I think hero is trapped
Gabiluzbad
And the ceo guy doesn’t want him to get back to earth for fear that he’ll ruin everything if he starts revealing his secrets
NekoInc, MSPM
I like this twist as a conceit.

Is it more interesting if the Archwizard is or is not the antagonist? Plus how many real people did he adapt as NPCs for the game?
Doctor Ansem
If the "archwizard"/ceo is antagonist, you can drive home the isekai trap by having him constantly crunching numbers and making decisions about "number go up" to the detriment of the world around them
Gabiluzbad
NekoInc, MSPM : I picture the CEO as a major antagonist if not THE main antagonist
Gabiluzbad
Anyway I'm not really planning on developing this any further so if anyone else wants to steal this idea in some form it's up for grabs
