Snake-Kun
more Weavers shit
Snake-Kun
The antagonist
Snake-Kun
I need to work some shit out
Snake-Kun
The main theme of this story is shaping up to be finding the balance between caution and recklessness
Snake-Kun
Like if you constantly rush into things you’ll get hurt
Snake-Kun
But if you always wait until the situation is perfect to act then you stagnate
Snake-Kun
So with that in mind
Snake-Kun
Our antagonist is the leader of the night sky weaver school
Snake-Kun
A powerful weaver who once had a vision
Snake-Kun
In the vision she saw a terrible darkness rising up to devour the world
Snake-Kun
But she also saw thousands of stars rising against it
Snake-Kun
She knew in her heart that every star was a weaver
Snake-Kun
After the vision she traveled the world and saw that there simply weren’t enough Weavers to challenge the darkness of her vision
Snake-Kun
So she started a school with the simple goal of just
Snake-Kun
Make there be more weavers
Snake-Kun
As many weavers as there are stars in the night sky
Snake-Kun
Thus the school name
Snake-Kun
Most schools are pretty choosy about who they teach
Snake-Kun
The Night Sky school will take literally anyone who shows up
Snake-Kun
It focuses on teaching the basics
Snake-Kun
Giving as many people as possible the tools they need to develop their own path
Snake-Kun
Like 90% of new students wash out but who cares
Snake-Kun
This is causing a fair amount of chaos in the weaver community
Snake-Kun
Good and bad
Snake-Kun
People who normally wouldn’t have access to this power are shaking things up. Old entrenched schools are angry that they aren’t as exclusive anymore
Snake-Kun
People who probably shouldn’t have this kind of power are getting it with no questions asked
Snake-Kun
But the big problem is that
Snake-Kun
It’s not enough
Snake-Kun
The master of the school still wants more
Snake-Kun
At first it was like “our doors are open to anyone!”
Snake-Kun
Then it moved on to “we’re sending out recruiters to try and actively convince people to join”
Snake-Kun
Now that’s starting to turn into “we’re sending out brute squads to cities that haven’t made their recruitment quota this month”
Snake-Kun
All in the name of holding off some great future darkness that may or may not actually exist
Snake-Kun
Anyway my original question was going to be “what is the actual great darkness?”
Snake-Kun
But like
Snake-Kun
After writing it down it’s pretty clear
Snake-Kun
In trying to prepare for its coming she created it
Snake-Kun
She became it
Snake-Kun
Wait no
Snake-Kun
What if Son Boy is the great darkness
Snake-Kun
And the finale is a kinda jiang ziya-esque “everyone deserves a shot at redemption” thing
Snake-Kun
I need to name some characters
Snake-Kun
This poor kid though is struggling with a dark and terrible power and he desperately needs a teacher or at least someone who can tell him “it’s ok”
Snake-Kun
But he keeps on not getting it
Snake-Kun
Protag refused to teach him because, I think, she attributes her son’s death to her ex husband pushing him to be a weaver
Snake-Kun
A couple other people refuse to teach him for various other reasons
Snake-Kun
Protag realizes that everyone pushing him away is just making the situation worse
Snake-Kun
Finale is giving him a big mom hug
Snake-Kun
Okay the shape of this story is coming together
Snake-Kun
Protag = Irie
Snake-Kun
Son Boy = Isagani
Snake-Kun
(Or just Gani)
Snake-Kun
Does anyone have that tutorial for making Chinese names for your OCs?
Snake-Kun
That’s the one
Snake-Kun
Zhao Fuwei is the leader of the night sky school and our main antagonist
Snake-Kun
According to a Chinese dictionary Fu can mean “to take responsibility for” and Wei can mean “to protect”
Snake-Kun
She is taking responsibility for saving the world which should be an admirable thing but she’s doing it in increasingly fucked up ways
