I may have stumbled upon something I wasn't supposed to see!

Which confirmed that my mother was diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition! Which may or may not have been what got my grandpa decades ago and my uncle this past spring!

So I may be incredibly distracted as I try not to let her know that I know nor catastrophize about this!

Oh... ;_; Oh, hon... yeah, that's great that she knows and is taking medication! For what it's worth, if she's lived this long with one, it's likely not to be a problem until her old age and she'll probably have better chances if she's diagnosed and taking proper medication for it!

I was adopted at birth. I don't know what I am or am not at risk for, but I shouldn't be at more risk than anyone else, presumably.
