My youngest brother is 20 years younger than me. He lives in Venice FL but is moving over in our area so he can live near family. He’s been sort of out there on his own a long time. He asked me the other day if I would make him a birthday cake like Mom used to do and it made me teary eyed. It’s weird being 20 years older.

He feels bad because he was in this bad relationship that caused him to be far away when mom and dad were sick and he didn’t really even know because he was just out of touch with us, and when they died he was blindsided

He told me he realized he has no relationship with his nieces and nephews and he really regrets that

So I’m excited for us - he tells me often he had the best relationship with me out of anyway and I think being so much younger I’m kinda that mom figure now. And that’s ok
