big cw for pet death: my dad finally had to put down his cat (who was not that old) after literal years of ignoring her troubling symptoms and I’m unfathomably mad at him as usual but also glad she’s not suffering anymore

how do you just not notice your cat has advanced organ failure. except he totally fucking did because I was able to diagnose it just from the behavior changes he described over the phone and did nothing about
