[home] y'all I swear my life is a joke some days. not a funny joke because I'm living it but still

I had to interrupt my work this afternoon and put on my 'family tech support' hat for 30 minutes due to the idiot (step-father) actually answering a scam caller and installing something on his pc

like the scammer was so close to getting info they kept calling his cell for damn near 15 min straight

fucking christ

but no idea if they actually saw any files or anything on the pc. thankfully my mom caught on that something was weird about his phone conversation and went in and nuked the program, and then she had me check his pc

I told her to change all the passwords to be safe because this idiot is the sort to have a folder called "Passwords" and saves them in a word doc

shit like this is why I keep my desktop and pc and work laptop hidden on the home network

you know. work wasn't even horrible today. at least not as bad as yesterday. 😑

so fucking glad I have Friday off

lol it gets better. mom and I found the spear phishing email that he called (there's some sad amusement that I just had to do my yearly work security training Monday)

you know I knew he was an idiot with tech with how many times I've had to fix just basic shit on the TV or multimedia stuff, but this takes the cake

fuck. surely the rest of the week is uphill from here
