found a weird place to put a book (because the book was put there). In the laundry hamper. It may have fallen in there, but still... Weird...

the book wouldn't have enjoyed the washing machine experience.

Indeed
sef_lopod
it would have been all sad after said experience, and wrinkly..

JigmeDatse
it would have been very difficult for this book to have actually ended up in the machine as it's 550+ pages...

books in washing machines sounds like a horror story to me.

JigmeDatse
Yes... Though I'm not sure this book couldn't be improved by throwing it in the washing machine.

if it's possible for a book to become self-aware, realise that its contents is terrible, be overcome by self-loathing and try to commit suicide in a washing machine.

eg Marvin the paranoid android and the bucket of water.

Arbieroo
well, there's a sentient book called, Flowers, in Roadmarks by Roger Zelazny, but it doesn't commit suicide via washing machine...

Just it was a lot of words signifying... What could have been summed up in a single toot. And then there were some actually problematic things in it as well.
