im moving to a new place mid-august and the room is bigger than my current room. problem however is that the only window faces an alleyway so there is little to no natural light during the day
this migth seem silly but i've also had good SAD-fighting results with. i bought a tapestry that is a tropical sky and the undersides of a bunch of palm trees and it's hung up on the ceiling where I work
i keep meaning to get an actual light to put under it so that it can act as a soft-diffusing light fixture which, if you have any lamps that are too bright to be comfortable, diffusing them with heat-resistant fabric or lampshades helps you have that lighting without it givin ya headaches or anything
might not suit your aesthetic, but i like having sparkly shit and prisms and just generally stuff that does interesting things with what light there is
ive been mocking up big furniture arrangement in a home modeling software lol so ive been like hmmmmm (window not pictured but its on the left wall near the bottom)
either could work! tbh i have a laundry bag ive used since college lmfao so i just put it in my closet (this room has a hallway closet thing so it leaves more wall space i can use)
I have one by the bed and one tucked in a corner. And then having art on the walls doesn't necessarily make it brighter but it does make me very happy so I think that counts!!!!!

places are there too, including my favorite salon
