I'm a little hung up on Damien being 8/9

I've worked with 8 and 9 year olds

Damien as presented would be a lot more believable if he was at least 11

I know I'm talking about believability in a superhero setting but I can suspend my disbelief for that stuff

but an 8 year old beating batman at chess and cutting heads off solid mannequins with a sword just feels like too much of a stretch

There is something very funny to me about Jason Todd and Damien hanging out together in secret and reading Jane Austin
