ok ao3 being down is putting the fear of god in me I need to archive my fics off site once it's up again

I keep saying I'm going to post them all to a non-RP fandom DW or a neocities site like I'm a fic author from the late 90s but I have been LAZY and I am the kind of freak who sometimes writes directly in the box without a backup

my final draft always goes to ao3 and i like to think i write my drafts in a gdoc or on paper

This doesnt always happen

i'm just resigned to the fact that if/when ao3 eventually dies all my fics will die with it, having reached the end of their natural lifespan

I mean. FFnet has somehow limped along all this time so who knows.

For better or for worse, my fics from 2002 are still on there...

brainblast i just had if you download your fics as html, there is no reason you cant pop those html files up as is onto neocities
