I made a cute origami box for my niece

What a perfectly circular black rock! But no, this is nifty and rocks are always so cool especially when you’re little. Special gifts like these are the kind that stick with a kid

I don’t remember being two, so her mileage may vary, but so many little items from little kid era just kinda stay with you, I think. Like when she gets older, she may forget where rock came from, might only kinda remember the box,

but the fact that the rock will have been in her life/room (maybe even in a bag/pocket with her) for what feels to her like forever, could be very sentimental

Also origami is kinda magical, especially as a kid. I bet she would try to wear the hat
