I have an eco-dilemma: I don't know what to do with empty bread/bagel bags. The internet says I should pack lunches, use for homemade bread, put shoes and soiled laundry in while travelling, pipe icing, and crochet.
I keep all bags that don't have holes in them (celery bags have holes). Since we only have our garbage taken away one day a month, stuff can get really ripe. I throw potentially stinky kitchen scraps in a bag and tie it off before throwing it in the trash.
Move back to Florida? Publix have recycling fur plastic bags (and paper and foam trays). Walmart here has recyc fur plastic - but the picture on their tub only shows plastic bottles. BestBuy does batteries and electronic stuff.
My Mammaw used to save bread bags. They had 2 uses in my grandparents' house: cut up for spacers for freezing burger patties; and Pappaw used them to bring home field dressed rabbits when he went hunting.
Guess what stuff I don't do.
