Hulu's subtitles have gotten atrocious

like they were never good to start with but now they don't even line up with anything

like they just start running the subtitle track as soon as the show starts regardless of anything

Oh damn, I have not yet encountered this but now I'm dreading the next time I try and watch something on Hulu

yeah, like I thought maybe it was just Abbot, but it's happened now with Handmaid's and Will Trent

oh and Call me Kat

so like it's not just new stuff getting them out as quick as possible, like I first thought, it's across the board

Oh that sucks

(and as much as I hate Disney absorbing Hulu, D+ subtitles are great as far as placement/timing so maybe they'll fix it)

(not so great as far as incorrectly phonetically typing accents, but eh, I can live with that)

Bringing this up again because I finally sat and timed it: subtitles are approximately 30 seconds ahead of the dialog they're meant to be showing

(at least on this particular episode of The Orville)
