low-key Jedao has really, really good intuition about people, but he doesn't practice it consciously as much as Jedao One did

so there's a part of him that's like, a hairsbreadth away from being a prophet that's just going "hey. hey. that's a good egg" and the rest of him is like "um, okay"

and like there are a lot of people on the barge who are big-hearted well-intentioned Hero™ types of one stripe or another but I think Nita has like....a very deliberate thoughtfulness, and a willingness to meet the world where it's at but never stop working for better

she doesn't have the vibe at all of the kind of professional he would rely on, she's not a soldier or a spy, but she still gives that sense of a professional....agent, and problem solver, which she kind of is, and he's like.

subconsciously grabbing her arm in science class as soon as the teacher says "team project!" even though they are still a little too awkward to call proper friends
