the underscore might be impacting it, too; you can make the email address something shorter like "legally" and use that for filtering

that's odd that matt's notifs aren't working then. are you getting them and it's not showing up in the filter? or are you not getting them at all?

no when I change it I'm not getting it but if I leave everything as my regular email and dont try to filter it's fine
