Full offense to Marvel artists, but it feels like ever since the early 2000s they've been terrified of actually drawing a suit that looks like the classic ones instead of being something with armored plates and 'realistic' chunkiness.

Even one or two of the storylines where he's gone back to wearing 'older' suits has had them with added detail like slight segmentation or something. (Not all of them, just some)
