POLL: do i present Maurice as a canon character now that I'm published or would he still count as an OC because I'M the author?

I dont wanna act bigger than my breeches but it's also not something ive ever seen come up

I feel like he would still count as an OC, but that's a player opinion not a mod one

mainly because you probably know "canon" information about him that's not in the book?
