It is interesting we don't typically do headcanon posts on dreamwidth, I realized when seeing Bashou's journal list them, maybe I should do that with more of my journals... definitely with Trip's, that one's got a lot of 'em, given how minor he is. ^^;;;
I had a thread of random headcanons back when I played Trip on twitter, but that's gone too + a lot of it I can recall off the top of my head + some were just plain random or suggested by other players.
(Cuter ones: sickly as a kid, asthmatic, preemie were suggested by another player and I thought they'd fit, but they also just end up making him sound like my little brother, ffff.)
Yeeep. : D;;; Just kind of a bitter irony. He got what he wanted, sure, in a completely self-sacrificing way, but wound up effectively cut off from them and everything else that could pass for a normal life.
Realizing I didn't finish the sentence on the second one, I should go do that! Buson's kinda skewed morality and layers of self-deception, I guess. He definitely thinks he's scummy, can't excuse all of it, but also not totally evil. Justifies a bunch of it. Rocket propoganda was fairly successful.
Just like there's usually a reason for someone taking a wrong turn in life, there has to be some way they reassure themselves they did what they had to or they're not THAT bad because XYZ lines they refuse to cross...
