what is the block between writing explanatory notes to myself and then rewriting the same damn thing out as narration?? why is the second one harder somehow??

maybe it's the need to switch into past tense

that is a difference in my notes vs how I want the narration to read

my brain keeps insisting I need to include background info to set the scene too, but maybe it's wrong

the nice thing about fanfiction is the readers generally know the characters already, so there's less intro'ing needed...

maybe I'll read a couple fanfics to note how they start

yes I'm sure it's my brain trying to insert introductory info we don't need

also my brain is trying to brain all the life out of the prose, it's trying to make the narration BORING for some reason??
