With Stable Diffusion I mostly create characters for the fantasy world I develop.

So the style is not 100% realistic, I want more "painted" results. Not hitting it yet.

Stuff like "in the style of a painting" usually buggs out and then the character has a brush in the hand and shit...

Instead of saying "in the style of a painting", try with an actual painter name, like "in the style of Rembrandt". And I am more disappointed in their state of undress. so male-gaze-y... But it's none of my business, I guess.

If you say "Realistic" the AI considers it the Realism painting style. If you want images like RL, you say photograph

There are giant guides for art styles, and you can tap into existing data bases for certain styles on SD too. I haven't tried any myself though

I find that outputs for some women characters in SD tend to be auto top less- you sometimes have to specify clothes - SD I think is the perfect creator tool for fantasy girl spank-banks Max Graf :
