I feel like NEW STUFF is usually a good one for me, but what we know about this next part of the event is not HOOKING ME (maybe because i kind of missed the first half?)

I SHOULD clarify my motivation is not in ability or eagerness to play, i think i have both of those, it’s more about figuring out how to engage with the game (which was unclear phrasing on my part)

but like. when i wanna get involved more i basically do try to think about what i can offer in terms of what's necessary for solving the most recent leg of plot

like vash isn't a scientist or a doctor which are the main needed things for this mission but like. for example we need a way to get the access codes from the heavily guarded federation spot and my dude has a 6 million dollar bounty on his head in canon bc its so fucken hard to catch him so i offered him up to be a distraction on that heist

sometimes they just don't ping me the way others do and sometimes they hit me at a bad time irl or motivation wise

most missions don't really allow wei wuxian to play to wei wuxian's strengths power wise, but actually don't find that to be a challenge for me personally

I like the human side of things, getting to understand the NPCs and things going on at a human empathy level

I think probably this one just isn’t really hitting anything that’s like, super personally exciting to my sensibilities, which is ABSOLUTELY OKAY, and i do expect (and in fact think it’s good) to have some months of being less involved! the cirawei mission was a good example of a mission I chose to kind of sideline and just,

fwiw the problems you've probably seen me waffle about in the last few months if you happen to have opened those plurks are similar and I know that one way around them, if there is any way, is asking other people to handle the TLs for a while

and if both sides in a thread have that problem, then yeah, someone has to step up, but a lot of the time it's not the case and the person who is not having issues will have no problem getting things rolling.

toss at someone who i know has some enthusiasm for cr, get that going; in xim if it's log related wait for those log drops, the plotting posts aren't useful comparatively. if not feeling a mission, find an angle my character cares about and run with it; sticking to network if i'm real real low

some plots work, some plots dont. tbf, we've regularly struggled with engagement for our second logs/second half of the mission and asked for feedback before so its something we're conscious of and trying to work on - its not just you!

YEAH and like I genuinely don’t want anyone to think it’s about...the event? I sometimes hesitate to talk about these things because I’ve notice it sometimes invites event structure dog piling that I don’t agree with. My creativity and engagement issues are my own, not the game’s!

And if there are ever places where the events aren’t working, i love that ximilia is a game that actually invites some feedback! It’s such a response space, wrt the mods as well as the player base!
