OH COME ON so Twitter just slipped a new thing into their ToS that says they can use any images on the site FOR FREE for WHATEVER THEY WANT???? hang on I'm half asleep but I need to read this
probably the best thing for folks to do is watermark their stuff, which is a pain in the ass but seems like the best thing for those who do commissions
afaik this kind of language is generally to allow for social media sites to host images at all, it's not unusual (I'm 100% not an expert so there might be something different about this one but I've seen it come up. Many a time, for many a site)
that said Twitter is hot garbage for plenty of other reasons, if anyone is willing to jump ship plz do I will happily help explain Mastodon for anyone interested in something decentralized
that might be pillowfort! Mastodon is a whole bunch of different servers run by different people which can communicate with each other so it depends on which server you want to get into as your like... home base
