The hardest thing about making baguettes is the having your whole place smell of raising bread and having to wait until tomorrow to bake it.

Dakota 🐦‍⬛🪵 : OMG, you reminded me of the time this dog my roommate's boyfriend left with us while he did a tour overseas literally pulled the oven door off its hinges to get the baguettes I had rising in the cold over (put in there to be safe from dogs)

He ate the entire batch of dough that began rising in his belly. He swelled up and we were thinking of taking him to the emergency vet, though the thought of poking him with a hat pin to let the gas out occurred to me (I hated that dog) but finally he started farting big yeast farts that smelled just like bread dough. He was uncomfortable for a couple days

but finally farted all the yeast away.
