[drawing] how do I stop from making sketches and then worrying about ruining the sketch so I never finish it

this was part of why I got a tablet but I haven't practiced drawing with the tablet enough

this is an excellent question and I wish I knew, it is the eternal struggle I've had too

Oh jeez I saw a post about this before, I'll never find it again, but I think tl;dr your sketches will always look better than clean lineart, because the sketch probably has multiple lines representing one, so your brain just takes the average and it looks "smoother",

I mean ""look better"" not actually look better.

Also this which is more geared towards why other people like sketches better but I think can be applied to your own.

You can always just clean up the sketch!

I mean when you asked about the details, you can like clean the sketch of like... stray construction lines, things that are too out of place, define some details here and there without having to commit to making full lineart!

I never feel like I have a finished lineart anyway since I only draw in pencil

The sketchiness is a Look though so maybe you can try that sometimes!
