Kittiya dream SRP progress plurk

I started sketching and sketched out one and a half pages... I think if i put minimal details in the bgs this should be doable before the event drops

I did line Aimi's srp surprisingly fast and since Kittiya's is shorter I feel like this is doable

I think i will try to limit myself to 3 pages of comments 🤔

I'm gonna also aim to finish the sketch tomorrow evening >:3

Kittiya's tg 1.0 design kinda slaps so far and I'm excited to show it. I'm not completely certain on the specifics of the intended concept and KNOW I'm gonna have to do some research, but a surface level depiction is fine for now

it'll definitely not be as specific as Aimi's latest srp since I want to lay a similar foundation of mystery as Aimi's first srp

I finished the sketch.... I had to make compromises with the original script but I think the end result is much better than my original idea! ^q^

I stayed up way too late doing the sketch.... I have to be up at 9:45....

me who had been deluding myself into thinking i could finish kittiya's srp AND be ready for e12 seeing it has been delayed: oh thank goodness

I was clearing out my procreate and for a second thought I accidentally deleted Kittiya's SRP and felt my soul leave my body (I didn't. we are safe)

I was hit with a surge of panic before remembering it was Monday
today felt very long for no reason so I was convinced it was later in the week

I do have some things I need to do for class that are due on Thursday.... so I should probably finish the srp sooner rather than later 🤔 oh right I still have something else to finish for class tonight TOO UGH

I finishedddddd lining one paaaaage! I'm gonna do the hard panels in the next page now so I don't have to struggle with them later

finished the panels I knew I was gonna struggle with the most.... now I can return with my Head Held High next time I resume

this is kind of a random thought but I realized some of my compositions in comics and art are very informed by my love of movies and cinematography.... I love thinking of specific povs and placing like imaginary cameras around to experiment with angles

once I'm finished lining I think I'm gonna slap down the text and then use a similar approach with the shading as I did in Aimi's srp

....tomorrow I mean. I can't believe I'm going to finally be finished with my SRP backlog after this many months

I was a little too indulgent and kept going until the lineart was done.... I would like to have Friday to goof off and decompress from class before event so I'm gonna aim to finish tomorrow (later today)

me every time i finish a big thing right before a self imposed deadline STARES AT MY HANDS WITH DEAD EYES i don't know what to do with myself anymore

i guess i could debrief a little bit! there's a few little bits of very On the Nose imagery in the srp that people could probably figure out on their own

for those who do not know, kittiya suffered a very violent death at the end of e7 in which laila did uh, this (please do not read the second bit if you are sensitive to gore)

hence the teal stream flowing out of her head (teal because again, on the nose imagery)

ever since then i've had the imagery of kittiya in a bath processing that sensation over and over again whenever she feels the stream of warm water flowing over her head. so, there's a reason she's in the bath besides the cheeky scene transition

kittiya pretends she was not impacted by the events of that day, but still carries the scars no matter how much she believes they are not there. she'll always in the back of her head think of the sensation of blood dripping down her face during something as mundane as a shower

it's pretty clear why she quit, but i'm not quite sure why i decided on a news anchor as her new career path. i'm now realizing it's because her shtick of smiling one second then screaming the next reminds me of like bloopers where news anchors talk about really crazy shit thinking the camera aren't rolling--
