The joy of working in corporate on a project that's taken ~11 months, bringing it to upper management to be nitpicked for an hour and challenging all ya work
On the plus, my direct mgr pulled me aside after the meeting to reassure me that I'm still far exceeding all expectations for my role so any delays on getting this project fully approved won't hurt me
I'm only the second in my position to be doing this activity It's not even required for my role U do this shit to get promoted but I'm doing it so they stop bugging me lmao
I get that in my job, too. they get mad if I do something a different way than they want me to. but it's like if the end result is this, who cares how I did it
Ya true I only ever had one bad mgr here and it was brief Thankfully the others have all learned that if u leave me the fuck alone I don't need to be babysat
i mean her feedback was valuable its just the kind of feedback i wish i couldve gotten maybe 4 months earlier before i was so strung out and near the finish line itd save me the time of having to fix shit
Corporate pedantry
If u solve a problem but don't format it the way they want it's like u never did anything
Exhausting trying to square peg into round hole yanno
Ok
Move this column here
Ok
Your countermeasure should echo this
Ok

The activity is specifically to Show Your Work so I know I gotta tweak it but hhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Instead of just saying "do this"
At least my mgr got my back
