lmao i hate to say this but it was on the spot. i dont think it occurred to noct that he walked tall until he resigned himself at the very end. here, though, for regis to say it, it really resonated
yeah, no I think you are right and it really fits with the whole idea of them getting to BE for once outside of everything that DUTY put on them. Noct gets to have value outside of his fate and it's coming from a source that is undeniably truthful about it
yep, it gets lost in all the bonding with the bros and stuff, but the game was suppose to be build on the relationship between father and son. We just got to pull it out from under all the other stuff and it was SO GOOD
I think that is part of the reason why one of my favorite scenes that was added for Dawn of the Future is that little scene with Noct getting to talk to Regis in the Crystal. It just brought the whole idea back to the surface.
right? It was a little moment of resolution you don't get in the game. Plus, I have to admit I like Regis being able to GIVE Noctis his sword instead of having this whole chain of Noct getting it from Ravus after Ravus basically looted off Regis' body. X.x
yeah, fair. that part is kind of against canon since he already had it, but at the same time, it'd be neat to pretend that maybe it unlocked something in it that noct couldnt access before
they played with that whole can of worms for Extra Verse in Epi Ignis too, so just waves hands Too bad Ravus didn't bother to shave off that horrid beard before passing the sword off then. LOL

that is kinda how I felt about Noct's tag before which is why I decided to go ahead and just skip to Regis' message even though there was theoretically a lot more they could have talked about. It was just the RIGHT point to do it.
I gotta know though, would Noct ACTUALLY be able to wait until the wedding to listen or would he have to take a moment sometime before and listen to it?
IM NOT SURE he'd kind of want to preserve the intended purpose aka giving his dad free reign to embarrass him at his wedding from beyond the grave, but he'd also be sorely tempted to just sit privately with pyra so they can listen together before hand
