so spent the evening attending to this guy our new family member, Bentley, that's his tentative name coz that's how he's registered in his papers. sis says we'll change it if he's unresponsive, but so far he does respond to it. he's a thin dog, but patay gutom, a consequence of him & his siblings overstaying
doesn't help that he's the runt of the litter. mukhang mabilis sya tataba dito, he does have signs of a little malnutrition though. also, he's very shy up to now, friendly, but a bit of a scaredy cat. he doesn't like loud sounds
i guess his personality fits here, kasi do sya harot, sabi nung mga boy dun sa farm where he lived debuhat daw sya, kasi he usually doesn't like to follow unlike other dogs. but let's see, i have a feeling he'll adjust in a few days here.
main problem right now is since they just let him loose, he isn't potty trained at all. actually even playing he isn't trained, takot sya dun sa squeaky toy.
Pero knowing you, magiging healthy rin si Bentley. Sarap sanang iwalking din para makaexercise siya...kung may ok na place. Hope he keeps that name. Bagay.
he really loves the attention, medyo tough to train lang kasi he's almost 11 months without much interaction, so medyo slow sya sa pick up on things. he's also very tentative when he moves madami syang takot. so calling him to come becomes very conditional, napansin namin pagdinala mo sa ibang room he sorta hits a reset, biglang timid ulit, tail down
plus side lang, matalino naman, although he doesn't understand dog toys, nakikipaghabulan na ng unti kanina, but like i said, depends sa lugar. sa sala game sya, sa baba hindi. another achievement tonight was he learned to walk up the stairs, very slowly, and took a hell of a lot of coaxing, but still, he did it.
although di kami makatulog early kanina kasi di pa umiihi & tumatae eh sa room ng mga sis ko papatulugin, kaya rin tinuturuan ng stairs so he can climb up & down without being carried. kaso ayun matutulog ma lahat even him, di nag 1 or 2, bahala na si batman
