Something I noticed in the RE4MAKE trailer, spoilers for RE4 2005 in here.

So Leon in the footage they've shown so far has been a lot more like 2Make Leon than he was in the original; more serious, more earnest, more focused on the task at hand.

But!

The newest trailer also shows us that Luis lives a lot longer than he does in the original version, and seems to have way more interactions with Leon, doing the whole under the castle segment with him as the partner character rather than solo.

And Luis seems to be cracking one liners and jokes constantly from the footage we've seen of him.

Are we pulling some kind of shit here with Leon's characterization ala Majima in Y0? Are we gonna see Leon cope with somehow one-upping the time he survived a zombie apocalypse by stealing the personality traits of other people who he knows that died?

Is Luis where he gets one-liners? Is Mike why he, I don't know, destroys every vehicle he gets into?

Also.

I really like that Luis, being a Spaniard from Spain who speaks Spanish like he's from Spain, has the accentual lisp.

The hilarious thing about RE4 being set in Spain was it was recorded in the era when cheap English dubs happened in the US, so all these Spaniards speak Spanish like they're from Los Angeles.
