Ideas are welcome. I'm terrified of being perceived and don't have, uh. Money. So the gold standard of taking myself out to dinner isn't a possibility right now. She offered the idea of the library, but I do. Owe $80 in fees. From not returning Thor 2 and two other books, apparently.

Hum, school plays? Usually dirt cheap and surprisingly entertaining.

Also, as someone who works in a library, you can absolutely still go into one and read books there and not check them out. They don't have your photo next to a security camera or anything.

public dog parks, if Ferris likes those. Volunteer work like Habitat For Humanity or after school program of some sort.

seconding that you can indeed go to the library. the fees would prevent you from checking anything out, but no one will harass you for going there to read in peace.

Library is a good option as long as you don't try to check things out. You could also see about getting fines forgiven due to hardship but um. America. Idk if that'd work.

you could try asking if you could do some sort of community service in their name
