Ace was really sick as a kid - like not in general, in specific, the "had to stay in a hospital for a few months and get an organ transplant" sick and obviously he did not love that part

And he had to miss out on seeing a baseball game he was looking forward to because that was when he had to have the surgery which was even worse

And then one of the players from the home team stopped by his hospital room and told him to be brave and to hang in there and that he'd hit a ball just for him and it just really made Ace's day
