The student I work with has fallen into the hell that is YouTube.

She likes Paw Patrol. These are the shows she's been watching

If its not that, then it's medical stuff. She loves hospital things. But scrolling through her YouTube I saw people vomiting, giving birth, even some horror thing with guts spilling out of their stomach! A hand holding a blood clot. So much nastiness.

And this morning she walked in watching something. She'd been watching it for almost an hour before she came through to the living room. It looked like the sentencing of a high school shooter or something??

We're told that she's an adult and we can't stop her from watching it. Just try and distract or encourage her to look at something else. Which I try.

But shit like this should NOT be on YouTube!! They're going after channels for swearing in the first 15 seconds of a video or dropping an fbomb. While little kids can find videos of their fave characters dying or killing each other.

And I mean, look at the views those videos are getting. It's shocking.

Oh gods. >.<

𝕿𝖆𝖈𝖔𝖛𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖆 : oh yeah, I remember that. But I'd also thought that they'd cracked down on stuff like that because of those videos. Apparently not!

I mean... Film theory has done some dark theories about kids shows... but those are always drawing (pun not intended) from what is actually in canon, not adding to it in the same style.

I dare not actually look at these shows because I'd just be adding fuel to the algorithm and giving them views they don't deserve.

But someone actually had to spend time and energy making these shows and making them look like they're for kids.

Yeah. They should be reported and flagged.
