[another maar day] but the day ended slightly better compared to the rest of the week at least.

corporate bought everyone lunch (aka you'd go and get it and they'd refund you the money), my rent didn't go up nearly as bad as i thought it would, and i actually got my room clean and my bed nest remade.

Gonna see if i can use this energy to do some tags before i pass the fuck out again

i was having such a day last night that when someone told me how much they valued me as a friend and wanted to protect me from someone they knew was a jerk and i didn't, i came hella close to crying

i fell asleep instead because it was late

maybe? it's definitely effecting my drive to do anything else

i am going to try and tackle some tags that've been waiting on me that i feel really bad about keeping in suspension

i know it's just work related stress

we've known about it for at least a year, corporate put it off, and then in september announced we'd move to a new point of sale system entirely. so in october we started training for it during our downtime.

then a week ago, our original system was put offline and the transfer of data started. corp thought it'd be done within like, two hours on saturday.
it was not.
the system finally came online yesterday.

so for three days we were struggling to do anything without a computer system, having to write out invoices and turn away people that had to use credit/debit cards because again, no system to run them. others had to use cash or we'd bill their charge accounts later.

and then when the system did come online, it's very slow, it's not entirely efficient and it's just a real struggle. one of my coworkers refuses to do any of the computer work or helping customers at all, leaving two of us with the brunt of the work all day.

like yesterday. i was livid at lazy coworker. i was working on an order when someone came in. he started helping the guy, but brought his stuff over to me. "are you busy?" "yes, actually. the system kicked me off and I can't get back in." "oh okay" and then proceeded to put the rest of customer's stuff in front of me and went to go stand behind the counter

instead, making the customer wait for me to be able to log back into the system.

What a douchey move :\
