They're expecting to send hundreds of people to ONE (1) food truck during a two hour span of time TOMORROW MORNING.

In no world am I (1) Waiting in line for an hour for coffee and (2) giving those poor baristas EVEN MORE to do on a day when you KNOW half the people there aren't giving tips because, lol, free coffee didn't bring my wallet.

Also, like, a very popular class time on Fridays is 8:45-9:45am. I don't teach then, but lots of faculty do. And those teachers can't afford to wait in line for 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee before class starts. So, like... those people are mostly shut out from this. Know who isn't? Administrators.

I don't know a whole lot about your life situation, but from what I do know it seems really fucking gross that someone with your level of education recieves so little, especially considering that colleges charge every single one of their students enough to put them into massive debt if they don't have scholarships.

I did the math for last semester and I taught over 100 students. approximately 1/6 of their tuition dollars went to paying my salary for that semester.

so colleges may be charging students far too much money, and I agree with that position, but the truth of the matter is it's not the faculty who are getting it.

hell in many instances I'm damn lucky. adjunct faculty at my University are paid the frankly insulting amount of $2,000 per class.
